Confederationese Word of the Day

Okay, as some of you have pointed out, I haven’t been doing those word of the day posts. I decided to make a few orthographic changes to Confederationese (this included adding a new letter), so it wasn’t quite ready yet. Hey, conlanging is serious business.

Auld Lang Syne

I hope I got these lyrics right:

Should all acquaintance be forgot and never brought to mind.
Should all acquaintance be forgot and days of auld land syne.
For all auld lang syne, my dear, for auld lang syne.
We’ll take a cup of kindness yet for auld lang syne.

Hold back the tears, they were good years. Remember, don’t forget.
Good times we share, sweet memories forever filled the hours.
Until we meet again someday, farewell but not goodbye.
I wish you luck and happiness as another year rolls by.

M&M’s!

Take the green from the grass and the blue from the sky up above. And if you color my world, just paint it with your love. Just color my world. Chocolate truly is better in color! ^_^

Flag Proposals #4 and #5

I took the flag from the previous post and used the colors from the Satchian flag, except the purple stripe is a bit darker. It’s not all that different than the Satchian flag. Sometimes you have to stick with what works.

This is the same flag with the colors flipped.

Flag Proposal #3

A while back, I made a post about the flag of the Terran Empire, so this flag might look familiar. It’s a nice flag, but it’s a bit militaristic. Militaristic, is that even a word? Yes, it is! It’s too militaristic for a conlang flag, but it’s fitting for the Confederation. Since the Confederation—or what would become the Confederation—was established as a military alliance, the flag is quite fitting. I do love the black-white-red tricolor, but I’m afraid it’s just too much like the flag of the German Empire, especially with the cross.

Flag Proposal #2

This flag is based on the flag of Liechtenstein. Of course, the crown has been replaced with the ring of six stars.

Flag Proposal #1

The Satchian flag didn’t represent a country. I used it to represent the Satchian language. Confederationese is the language of a country, albeit a pretend one. Since the Confederation is an alliance of six planets, I decided the flag should have six stars. This flag is based on the “Stars and Bars” of the CSA, except the stars are gold rather than white. This flag is nice, but I’m afraid it’s too Confederate.
