I’ll admit that I have a bad guy fetish. No, I don’t mean *that* kind of bad guy fetish. Get your minds out of the gutter. When it comes to movies, I like rooting for the bad guys: Nazis, Confederates, Romulans. I love to play WWII-based video games, and I always play as a German. One of my favorite groups of bad guys is the Terran Empire in Star Trek’s mirror universe. These guys are, well, just bad. The Terran Empire was represented best in Star Trek Enterprise. In the opening credits of In a Mirror, Darkly (part I and II), you see the flag of the Terran Empire being planted on the surface of the Moon:

You have to admit that is an awesome flag: It’s simple and it gets the point across. Of course, I had to make my own Terran Empire-esque flag.

Here’s a variant using the black-white-red tricolor of the German Empire:

I had even considered using the design for my Satchian flag:

Of course, I didn’t go through with it since that would be a bit much for a flag that’s supposed to represent a language.
