Mar 2
On 2 March 1836, Texas declared its independence from Mexico.

The Burnet Flag was the first official flag of the Republic of Texas.
I’m such a bad Texan. Every year I forget about it, but I remembered this year. By the way, my friend Jamie wanted me to translate Happy Texas Independence Day into Satchian so here it is…
Vittaju riśas zos trozajun Texasi!

Royal Banner of the Kings of Denmark
Filed under VexillologyFeb 25While browsing Wikipedia looking at flags, I found an article about Danish Monarchs. In the article there’s this picture of the Royal Banner of the Kings of Denmark from the 1300s, and I thought it was so cute.

Texas Gay Pride Flag
Filed under VexillologyJan 11If you try searching Google for Texas gay pride flag, the results you get back aren’t very promising. I guess Texas gay pride is something of an oxymoron. Anyway, I decided to draw my own.
If that’s not big enough for you, click here.
Enjoy. ^_^

Satchian has a flag!, Part 3
Filed under Satchian, VexillologyOct 26Okay, now Satchian has a new flag. I swear!
So I decided to go with the rounded Iron Cross. Actually, cross pattée is the technical name. The Iron Cross is just a variant of the cross pattée. The rounded variant above is called an alisee cross. But I digress. I think the curved edges makes it look a little more evil. Mwahaha. Well, there you have it. ^_^

Satchian has a flag!, Part 2
Filed under Satchian, VexillologyOct 24It looks like I decided on a new Satchian flag too soon. I’m now debating which flag I like more. This one…
Or this one…

Satchian has a flag!
Filed under Satchian, VexillologyOct 22Rather, Satchian has a new flag. I’ve decided to retire the old flag, and I made the one below to replace it.
Yeah, I know it doesn’t have green in it! Surprised? I actually borrowed the colors from the Conlang flag, and purple is a nice color anyway. The Iron Cross represents the fact that Satchian has some Germanic traits (just look at the way Satchian forms compounds!), and I just happen to love Iron Crosses. ^_^
So tell me what you think!
