You complained that my New Year’s post was too short, so I’m making this one a bit longer. I don’t know how to say “happy birthday” in Spanish. In German it’s “alles gute zum Geburtstag!” I guess I could have looked it up, but then I wouldn’t have a reason to say it in German. Well, that’s not true. I could have said it in Spanish and German, but then I wouldn’t be able to write this longer post about how I don’t know how to say it in Spanish. You know what, I’m going to look it up anyway…
Okay, I’m back. This site says it’s “¡Feliz cumpleaños!” Is that right? That site also has happy birthday in a bunch of other languages: In Czech it’s “Všechno nejlepší k narozeninám!” Whew, I’m not even going to try to pronounce that. In Klingon it’s “qoSlIj DatIvjaj”. I think that’s easier to pronounce than the Czech one, haha. What is it in Confederationese? I don’t know. I haven’t gotten that far yet.
